One thing that stuck out to me was the similarities between the issues faced by sales people there and here at home. We all face the similar challenges - understanding our customers, qualifying prospects, communicating our unique value proposition.

Even with the language barrier, I found the Chinese people to be gracious and eager to learn. They really want to elevate their game. The challenge for us in the United States is to maintain the same level of enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and desire to a be better at what we do. 

From where I sit, Thomas Friedman was right, the world is getting flatter.
